Wohnriester

Wohnriester is a subsidy for home ownership under the German Retirement Savings Act (AVmG). To qualify for the assistance, you must either purchase a new home or convert a property used for residential purposes to create a new living space. In addition, your loan must be certified for this purpose or be a home loan and savings contract approved for Riester savings.

Then you can take capital from the Riester contract. At least €3,000 must remain in the Riester contract, or you must use the Riester contributions to repay the loan.
